Pastor Aaron Smith

Pastor Aaron joined Grace in the Fall of 2019 as Senior Pastor. He comes to Grace after serving 13 years in pastoral ministry in Silicon Valley. He enjoys preaching and teaching the Scriptures and supporting families in their lives as Christians together.

Aaron graduated from Concordia University, Irvine, in 2002 with a degree in Theological Studies with an emphasis in Biblical languages. He then enrolled at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, graduating in 2006 after a one year vicarage (internship) in Cameron Park, CA.

Born in Minnesota, he grew up in Palm Desert, CA. He is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Aaron has been married to Ellen for 14 years. Together, they have three children: Malachi, Liana, and Isa. Aaron roots for the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves and loves to read historical non-fiction, especially books on the Civil War.

He values honesty, directness, and a close reading of the Biblical text. He is thankful to serve in a congregational setting that offers quality Christian education to the community through Grace Christian School. He seeks to care and serve staff, students, and families for the Lord.
