Ben Elliott has a strong passion for Lutheran education and enjoys sharing Christ with his students and families. He has served as principal at St. Paul Lutheran School in Merced, CA, and classroom teacher at both Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran School in Gilbert, AZ and at Faith Lutheran School, Whittier, CA. He has taught fourth through eighth-grade classes, has served as a coach, Technology Director, and Athletic Director.
Ben graduated from Concordia University, Irvine, in 2002 with a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child Development, and in 2007 received his Masters in Education. He is a graduate of the SLeD (School Leadership Development) program through the LCMS. He has a strong desire for technology and feels that it is an integral part of the educational environment, and is an excellent tool to use in the classroom as well as keeping up with the current trends. He feels that there needs to be a solid connection between the church and school so that they can work together in growing God’s kingdom through education and worship.
Ben is from Orange County, CA where he met his wife, Christie while attending Concordia, Irvine. They have been married since 2001 and have three children; twin boys, Samuel and Jeremiah, and a daughter, Caralei. Christie has worked at Concordia, Irvine, with church youth, and YoungLife. Ben has also been involved with the youth and enjoys volunteering in the church. Ben also loves spending time with his family outdoors, camping, and playing sports. He also enjoys working on his Jeep and 1955 Ford F100 truck when he can find some spare time.
